Timber floor floods may be difficult to dry simply because wood floors can cup and bow when they are flooded. Simply putting a fan on the surface of the wood floor would in some cases not be sufficient to restore the floor. This is why it may be important to use a tool called the injectidry.
The Injectidy system can restore timber floors to avoid cupping and bowing. The way it works is suction plates are placed0 on the floor. These plates vacuum the moisture out of the floor over a time period of 4 days or longer. Typically a dehumidifier will be placed in the centre of the room to dry out the moisture pushed into the atmosphere.
It is important to note that quite a few wood floors these days are floating wood floors that have been installed on top of a concrete floor.
