Three Basic Carpet Cleaning Options

Unless you have a white carpet, there is no way you can tell how incredibly dirty it is. If you chose a dark color, you probably went with it, precisely for that reason. A good rule is to imagine how much dirt is down there, and multiply that by ten. Who can blame you for not carpet cleaning more often? There is a lot more to it than running a mop on a hard floor.

You have to love a carpet that has just been cleaned. You can do everything on it from make love to watch television. You do not mind if your baby crawls on it or your bigger kids wrestle.

So, how are you going to make this happen? Do you go to the supermarket and rent their machine so you can save some cash? Or do you save yourself from the hassle and the work, and contact of professional carpet cleaner to do the job for you?

If your decision is to contact the pros, you are at the proverbial fork in the road. Now you’ll either call that company that advertises a price of around $5 per room, or you are going to phone a company that is going to cost more than that.

If you call the company for $5.00 per room, one of two things is going to happen. You will be the victim of bait and switch advertising. There are going to be all kinds of reasons your situation does not qualify for that pricing, and as long as they are there, they assume you will pay the higher price. Or, they are going to do a vastly inferior job with inferior equipment.

If you decide to go with the company that gave you a realistic price to begin with, you should ask them some questions before your hire them for tile cleaning. Start off inquiring about their equipment. If they say, truck mounted, you know you are on the right track. Then ask about their cleaning chemicals. If they say nontoxic, or organic, you only have one more hurdle. Will they show you proof that they are bonded, insured and licensed?
